Pet Care Clinic Launches Mega Summer TNR Programme in Ras Al Khaimah

Every year, thousands of community cats are born on the streets of the UAE, placing enormous pressure on rescuers, volunteers and animal welfare organisations. This summer, Pet Care Clinic is taking action.

We are proud to announce the launch of our Mega Summer Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) Programme, an initiative designed to make a real and lasting impact on Ras Al Khaimah’s community cat population.

Our goal is simple but ambitious: to humanely Trap, Neuter and Return 200 community cats with the help of rescuers, volunteers and generous sponsors.

What is TNR?

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the most effective and humane method of managing community cat populations. Cats are safely trapped, examined by a veterinarian, neutered or spayed, and then returned to the location where they were originally living.

TNR helps to:

• Prevent the birth of unwanted kittens.
• Improve the overall health of community cats.
• Reduce fighting, spraying and mating behaviours.
• Stabilise colonies over time.
• Reduce the burden on local rescuers and shelters.
